I purchased my boat in Jan. 1996 for $500. That price was for the hull, outboard, and trailer. The hull is a 1959 Starcraft. It is aluminum and has a semi-V hull. It had a 18 hp Evinrude outboard that was from the 70’s. The trailer is a Continental trailer. As soon as I got it I started making modifications. I added a front casting deck and a bimini top. I also replaced the transom. In 1997 I bought a new outboard. The old Evinrude drank gas and was not reliable enough to travel far distances. The outboard I bought is a 1997 15 hp Johnson. It has a short shaft and electric start. Now I have the range and reliability to travel farther and catch more fish!
